At the start of every school year we launch our biggest fundraiser of the year through a partnership with Foertmeyer & Sons’ Mumkins and Mumsters. Foertmeyer & Sons is a local greenhouse that does partner with many other local schools. As a PTO we want to make sure that Fairbanks is one of the very first schools in the area to begin their sales in August and then have an early delivery September date to make sure we are the first to market.
Foertmeyer & Sons strive to provide our Fairbanks families and their supporters with the best quality mums. Their growers carefully watch and raise mums all summer long to ensure that we are getting the healthiest and largest mum! By the time that our supporters receive their mums, they will be hardy, large, and beautiful.
Foertmeyer & Sons mums are grown and are pushed to be hardy and long lasting so that you get the biggest bang for your buck!

MUMKIN FUNDRAISER FAQs

Every student at Fairbanks Elementary will receive their very own FundraiseIt store. On Wednesday, August 21 we will be kicking off our sale and will be sending home important information explaining how to participate.
If you do not receive your kickoff information, you can visit www.fundraiseit.org and click the green online shopping button. You will enter your students last name, part of their first and part of their fundraising group name - Fairbanks Elementary. You will be asked to enter your email address and will receive a link to your online store that you can share with friends and family. -
This is an online fundraiser only. You can use Visa or Mastercard credit/debit cards.
Many of our families have found that if a customer does not want to pay with card, they will accept cash or check payments personally and then place the order with their cards.
Fairbanks Elementary will not accept orders in cash or check.

On Mumkin delivery day, Foertmeyer & Sons will send their trucks loaded with carts filled with mums to the school's campus.
The PTO will have a group of volunteers there in the morning to help unload those trucks, sort the mums into student orders, and sellers will either pickup all of their order or have a friend of family member pick it up for them. Any mumkin orders not picked up by 5pm will be set along the school building for families to pick up ASAP.
*Any orders not picked up that day will not be monitored or maintained

Pickup is September 14, 2024 and we have created a sign up for families to indicate when they expect to pick up their orders. This signup will provide us with a general idea of when to have volunteers available to help load your vehicle. If the time you signed up for needs to change you can change on the sign up.
The times are approximate slots and are not precise pick up times. If you need to shift by a few minutes we understand and understand that we will help you get through pick up line as quickly as possible.
